The final disc in the vibrant Jerwood series is a colourful tribute to the imagination and creative talent that exists in British music today, celebrating the vital role of London Sinfonietta in nurturing and developing new music. Three of the works on the disc (Mason, Goves, Molitor) were commissioned to mark the occasion of the ensemble's 40th birthday in 2008, and are book-ended by premiere performances of two more Sinfonietta commissions by James Olsen and Kenneth Hesketh.
